Week 3 Ironman Training 24th - 31st January 2016 - Back at it!

Since I was  skiing last week, I had to skip a weeks training, so here I am back on week 3.  I was a bit worried that it would be difficult to get back into it after a week off, but the rest seems to have done me some good.  I started the week a day early on Sunday as I was keen to get back at it!  The week flew by and I  loved every minute of it  The training plan works in 4 weekly cycles with the 3rd week being the biggest week and the 4th a recovery week, so it was great to finish this week feeling good

Week 3 training:

Sunday: Run (1 hr zone 2) 

Monday: Swim (2500m straight swim), Run (45 mins zone 2)

Tuesday: Brick Session (30 mins turbo zone 2, 15 mins run zone 2)

Wednesday: OFF

Thursday: Run (1 hr zone 1 to 2)

Friday: Swim (300m warm up, 8x50m drills, 12x100m with 20 secs rest, 8x50 drills, 200 cool down), Bike (45 mins turbo zone 1 100+rpm)

Saturday: Bike (1:45 turbo zone 2)

Sunday: Rest
